Prohibit Torture Globally

President Obama has signed an executive order to close down the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba within a year. This is a positive and necessary first step, however, as an executive order it can be reversed by a future president.Call, write, or email your house representative and senators to gain their support to close the detention facility at Gitmo, limit the use of certain interrogation techniques, prohibit interrogation by contractors, and require notification of detainees to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
